Transform Your Data Management with Cube's AI-Powered Tools

Unlock efficient and effective data management with Cube's advanced AI features as highlighted in our latest webinar featuring our Staff Software engineer, Michael Irvine. If you missed the session, here are the five important takeaways:

  1. Cube's Core Functionality: Cube is a cloud-native, fully hosted, multi-tenant application designed to resolve complications around data complexity, silos, and inconsistent business definitions. It offers users a comprehensive solution with features that enable data modeling, stringent access controls, caching layer, and functional APIs for working with data.
  2. Introducing the Semantic Catalog and AI Assistant: With the latest launch of Cube Cloud, we've introduced the Semantic Catalog and AI Assistant. The Semantic Catalog provides a unified view of trusted data products, enabling users to comprehend the lineage and the relationships between different data assets. Our AI Assistant is powered by GPT 4.0 from OpenAI and integrates with the Semantic Catalog and Cube models. It understands natural language queries giving users quick and accurate results.
  3. Empowering Business Users with AI: Our AI Assistant aims to be a vital tool for business users, facilitating quick and accurate data exploration and decision making. This real-time access to data eliminates reliance on data analysts and accelerates business processes. Michael provided a demo, showcasing how easily one can access complex data assets, handle errors, and modify queries for tailored results.
  4. Behind the Scene Tech Stack: Our team uses advanced technologies to achieve AI capabilities in Cube. Language models like BERT and GPT-3 facilitate understanding and generating natural language queries. We employ machine learning algorithms for data pattern interpretation and use data processing frameworks like Apache Arrow and Apache Spark for efficient data handling and computation.
  5. Addressing User Queries: The webinar was centered on addressing potential user queries on the capabilities of our AI assistant. Michael explained that the AI Assistant generates API calls in a JSON-based format through a robust REST API for good performance. The conversation history is stored locally on user's devices, providing full control over their data. In terms of multi-tenancy, the AI Assistant is designed for internal analytics primarily. For multi-tenant setups, Cube recommends using the AI API allowing the setting of security contexts.

The Cube team is continually working to incorporate additional language models and APIs. Our mission is to empower you with tools that provide seamless and insightful data exploration, helping to make well-informed business decisions.
